Students are going to think of ways of making a positive impact on the world around them as well as mastering their English skills through engaging, interactive activities. Through service learning, students will develop the competences that define their output profile when they finish their compulsory secondary school years.

At the end of the project, they will have:

• learnt about social inequalities.
• reflected on the needs of our community.
• watched videos about inventions and patents.
• analysed and recorded a tutorial.
• presented an invention.

Este REA tiene como principal objetivo estudiar la Tabla Periódica y sus elementos de una manera atractiva, conectando la química con su historia y nuestro entorno. Los procesos históricos de creación del conocimiento científico sobre la clasificación de los elementos químicos nos ofrecen un escenario de Estudio de Caso y son el esquema para el aprendizaje investigativo que ayude a la comprensión de la Tabla periódica por parte del alumnado.

Además, este REA desarrolla la diversidad de enfoques dentro de lo que llamamos la metodología científica. La secuencia didáctica está formada por situaciones de aprendizaje, que se plantean en forma de tareas de diferentes sesiones de duración y se resuelven con investigaciones guiadas, ligadas a una producción final.

• given opinion about types of art;
• read official museum web pages, leaflets and key maps;
• identified art elements and described a piece of art;
• promoted an art exhibition in their town.
