Este REA desarrolla el modelo de átomo de Bohr, los postulados de la Física cuántica que dieron origen al modelo actual, y así conseguir el objetivo de manejar adecuadamente la distribución de los electrones de un átomo en los niveles y subniveles de energía correspondientes, así como asociar las propiedades de los elementos con la configuración electrónica y su posición el sistema periódico, integrando diferentes aspectos de la actividad científica. El REA desarrolla diversidad de enfoques dentro de lo que llamamos la metodología científica. La secuencia didáctica está formada por situaciones de aprendizaje, con tareas ligadas a una producción final
