MOOC: Digitally Competent Educational Organisations (2nd Edition)

MOOC: Digitally Competent Educational Organisations (2nd Edition)

The second edition of the MOOC “Digitally Competent Educational Organisations” arranged by the National Agency for Educational Technologies and Teacher Development of Spain will begin on Tuesday April 16. This second edition was introduced in SELFIE Forum 2019 “Schools and policy makers to discuss digital technologies for teaching and learning”, hold on 4 and 5 of April 2019 in Madrid.

The need to improve all processes which take place in an educational organisation, not just the academic ones but also its organisational processes, as well as the necessity to give answers to a society that must learn how to face uncertainty, make us look at technology as the answer to adopt a systemic focus in the transformation of our educational organisations. For this reason, this online, masive and open course considers technology as a key enabler for success in addressing change processes in educative organisations.

This MOOC provides participants with the oportunity to know the Digitally Competent educational Organisations Framework by JRC (Joint Research Centre, European Commission, Seville) and how to use it in the process of improvement of their educational organisations. In this new edition, it presents the self-diagnostic tool “SELFIE”. A tool designed to help schools to highlight what’s working well, where improvement is needed and what the priorities should be.

On the basis of the data provided by SELFIE, participants will desing a Digital Plan for their own educative center, adapted to the context, resources and needs of each school, taking as a reference the European Framework DigComOrg.

At the end of the activities, you will be able to gain a digital badge stored in the Insignias INTEF backpack that is awarded as recognition for the learning throughout the MOOC.

The MOOC lasts 6 weeks. It begins on April 16 and ends on May 28. There are two versions of the MOOC, one in Spanish and one in English. You can already register or get further information through the #AprendeINTEF learning experiences website:
